Hey, thanks for coming to check out my website. My name is Alex Jalbert. I started practicing yoga in 2014. I had poor posture and aches and pains in my back and shoulders. I had been running and weightlifting for years which contributed to my poor posture and chronic pain. Yoga helped me regain mobility and control of my body. Chronic aches and pains started to disappear. My posture improved, and I felt better while running and weightlifting.

In 2020, I decided to quit my corporate job and become a yoga teacher. Yoga changed my life and I wanted share the healing benefits of with anyone who was interested. I feel yoga will benefit everyones life. I especially look forward to introducing yoga to men to help release the tension most men carry their entire life.

Here is a little more about me. I was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida and moved to Plano Texas when I was 11 where I completed middle school and high school. I went to college at the University of Arkansas and studied Finance and Accounting. After I graduated, I worked in Dallas, mostly as an analyst, for about 6 years. During my free time, I would be working out or at a yoga class. I had been thinking about going back to school and getting an MBA but something about it didn’t feel right.

In the spring of 2020 I realized I wanted to pursue a career in fitness. I signed up for the Black Swan Yoga Teacher Training in Dallas and the rest was history. I started teaching yoga to my friends for free just to get practice. They told me how good yoga made them feel. I took this as a sign that I should keep sharing the healing powers of yoga and not return to corporate work. I’ve been teaching yoga and strength training for just over a year now. It’s been the most rewarding decision I’ve ever made. I look forward to meeting you and teaching you yoga! Please reach out with any questions - Alex Jalbert alexjalbertyoga@gmail.com
